They'd become sworn brothers some time ago and only rarely had the chance to see each other. Most typically due to the fact that Yan Nantian was quite the compulsive wanderer, rarely leaving messages behind. But, his sworn brother always knew how to find him as he sensed him coming before he'd even finished pouring the wine into his cup.

Right away, he poured another cup as he smiled. "Er di. Come. Drink with me. It's been too long since we last got drunk together."

Chuckling, he sets the other cup down at the seat he knows Jiang Feng will take, finally looking over at him.

Time between meetings does nothing to diminish their bond. Jiang Feng doesn't wander as much, but that just means he's somewhat easier to find when Yan Nantian does come looking.

Seeing a second cup already being poured as he walks up today has him actually smile and he takes the seat...already waiting for him as well. "If I did not know better, da ge, I'd say you were waiting for me." Which suits him just as well if it were true, so he picks up his cup and lifts in in salute.

"Call it a sworn brother's instinct." Well, more like he'd just been brought to this table and served wine with two cups. There wasn't much more to it than that but he laughed as he down his first cup, already moving to refill it. He'd always been more rough around the edges but he'd leave such refinement to his brother.

"So, what brings you here, er di? It's been..." He took a moment to count on his fingers before nodding, "...four months."

Jiang Feng doesn't need to be rough around the edges when he has his brother. He doesn't mind it at all and tips his cup back. Excellent taste, as he was expecting when he'd made his way here. He tilts his head a little at the amount of time passed since their last meeting, then moves to refill his cup before answering.

"I was hoping to find a message from you. This is better."

But there's a secret little smile playing at his lips, there's something more unsaid.

"Bah. Leaving messages takes so much time. I like it better when you follow my trail based on rumor anyway."

Still, there was something in his brother's expression. They were so different but Yan Nantian had learned to read him some time ago. Before they'd ever sworn their oath to each other. Curious, he leaned over to him.

"What is it you're hiding? You've got that smile on your face. The one that says you want to tell me something."

He allows a quiet sound of amusement to escape, not even quite a chuckle, though it's close. He wonders just how his brother will react to this news he holds in his heart. And if anyone knows him well, it's Yan Nantian.

Jiang Feng finishes his second cup before leaning closer in answer. He allows that smile to widen just a little, though there's a shy wonder that touches his gaze. "She's pregnant, da ge," he murmurs for the other's ears only. "You'll be an uncle in about half a year."

His eyes widened before he broke into laughter. Lifting a hand, he summoned a server. "Keep the alcohol coming. We'll run you dry today in our celebration!"

Before there was any hesitation, he put down a piece of gold which the server quickly clambered to grab before going away to get more bottles. Yan Nantian turned back to Jiang Feng and slapped his hand onto his shoulder. "You two have been so quiet. It looks like it's because you were honeymooning. Look at you."

Shaking his finger at him, he grinned wider. "I bet you'll have a strong son. That would suit you."

His gaze lowers at his brother's reaction, but his smile widens in unashamed joy as he straightens back into almost a pure vision of propriety. The slap to his shoulder actually earns a quiet chuckle - his cheeks might even be a little pink!

"We have to be careful, da ge, but yes." He would prefer not to anger those who had taken such good care of him. And falling for one of their servants definitely fell into that category. But he can't deny his heart...or his beloved's.

"Whichever we have will be perfect and taught by us both." No daughter or son of his would be unable to protect themselves!

"You already have a solid place to hide in as I recall. Though you'll need to move eventually." But for now there was time to celebrate. He smiled as the bottles were set at their tables and he slid one over to his brother.

"Forget the cups. We drink deep. I'll make sure you get home safely."

It's the moving that worries him now, but that's in the future. There's plenty of time to make plans for how to make that safe.

Today is for celebrating. And his brother is right, the promise makes a grin impossible to resist, though there's an undeniable fondness to it. "You always do."

Jiang Feng is a bit picky about who he drinks heavily with - Yan Nantian is on that short list. He bows his head a little at the server, silently thanking him (in addition to the generous payment) for the work.

But there's a tease in his eyes, hinted also in his voice. "And if I stick with the cup?"

"Then I will out drink you and you will have to get me to my rooms instead." Which wasn't going to happen because Yan Nantian grabbed both cups. Eyeing them, he smirked then threw them over his shoulder and out the window. No cups for them.

"Drink, er di."

He pulled a long swallow from his bottle and sighed as he lowered it. "When did you two find out?"

His brother can be ridiculous.

"Da ge…" He sighs, as if in displeasure, but the smile can't be contained and he obliges the older man by finally taking the bottle placed before him, and drinking.

Jiang Feng settles a little in his seat, though still just proper enough most wouldn't know he's relaxing between the wine and the company.

"She suspected just over a month ago. Then we got confirmation." So yes. They've been quiet. And busy.

Chuckling, he shook his head at that. Those two were so deeply in love. Of course they would have ended up pregnant after they went into hiding. It was charming, like the stories of legend.

It was just what he wanted for Jiang Feng.

"You two will have very handsome children too. Just look at you both," he took another pull of his alcohol. "I'll have to make sure to show them my own tricks as well. Starting with this first one."
